Willie Ratchford of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Community Relations will facilitate a conversation with CALG members to help create a safe space for dialogue and the sharing of feelings, thoughts and ideas following national protests regarding racial inequities in the United States. Additionally, CALG members will be able to discuss ideas/actions that they can take in their respective institutions to build a more inclusive workplace and community.
Also, Joseph Johnson from Mecklenburg County’s Office of Equity and Inclusion will share the Equity Action Plan that was adopted by County Leadership in June 2019, and outline opportunities for collaboration/engagement amongst CALG members and the community at-large regarding diversity, equity, and inclusion in Charlotte-Mecklenburg.
