Administrative Assistant III
Primary Purpose:
Provide support to Human Systems Compliance by creating affirmative action plans and performing general administrative duties.

Duties

  1. Prepares a variety of reports for regulatory agencies. Including EEO-1, EO Surveys, VET 100 Reports, and Census Reports
  2. Distributes all regulatory notices and posters.
  3. Proof reads correspondence.
  4. Type (key) correspondence, reports, forms, etc.
  5. Compose correspondence as directed.
  6. Execute routine projects within general guidelines & instruction.
  7. Perform basic spreadsheet functions.
  8. Establish and maintain files and records.
  9. Access mainframe systems to compile data for various reports.
  10. Answer telephone and perform receptionist duties as back-up for HR Specialist.
  11. Arrange and handle details related to travel arrangements, meetings, appointments, etc.
  12. Deal discreetly with confidential information.
  13. Perform other duties as may be assigned and participate as a team member as needed.

Required Skills or Competencies:

  1. Associate degree or equivalent experience.
  2. Minimum of two years experience (or equivalent education) in a support position.
  3. Good verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Ability to utilize word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  5. Ability to utilize basic spreadsheet applications.
  6. Ability to learn basic executions on the BB&T Information System.
